Geneva Stakeholder Dialogue

On July 8, 2024, we co-hosted a Stakeholder Round-table called “Emerging Best Practices from IP Offices: Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach” in Geneva, Switzerland in collaboration with Innovation Council. The gathering brought together seven intellectual property (IP) offices represented by Mr. Konstantinos Georgaras (CIPO, Canada), Mr. Carlos Maria Gallo (INPI, Argentina), Mrs. Catherine Chammartin (IPI, Switzerland), Mrs. Rena Lee (IPOS, Singapore), Mr. David Wong (IPD, Hong Kong SAR), Mrs. Sharon Israel (USPTO, USA) and Mr. Ben Llewellyn-Jones (UKIPO, UK) moderated by our GLIPA Chair, Scott Frank.

We were also honored to have Mr. Edward Kwakwa (Assistant Director General, Global Challenges and Partnerships, WIPO) and Mrs. Lisa Jorgenson (Deputy Director General, Patents and Technology, WIPO), who delivered the opening and closing remarks, respectively. The event was well-attended, featuring over 50 participants from public, private sectors and International Organizations. It was a powerful demonstration of how collaboration can open new doors and create opportunities for meaningful dialogues and reinforced our commitment to keep advancing our efforts to bring IP to the hands of all.
