Intellectual Property Awareness & Education
At GLIPA, we believe in the transformative power of Intellectual Property (IP) to shape ideas into meaningful realities that improve lives. One of our goals is to build a deeper understanding of IP—what it is, why it matters, and how it drives progress. We collaborate with key Organizations globally to foster a strong foundation in IP knowledge. We aim to inspire innovation, creativity, and practical problem-solving across generations.
Our Pillars
Intellectual Property Ecosystem Collaboration
GLIPA unites, on a worldwide basis, regional, national, and local stakeholders (creators, enablers, and protectors, among others), bringing together diverse perspectives and fostering a dynamic, efficient, effective, and collaborative Intellectual Property (IP) ecosystem that supports economic growth and promotes social well-being.
Intellectual Property Access and Engagement
GLIPA works to bring Intellectual Property (IP) to the hands of all. We believe in the power of IP as a tool to ensure all people and ideas around the globe have an opportunity for success.

GLIPA NEWS
Corporate IP Roundtable 2026
The United States IP Alliance (USIPA), the Global IP Alliance (GLIPA), in collaboration with the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), and US state IP alliances, recently hosted the Corporate IP Roundtable featuring Sudeepto Roy, VP of Engineering at Qualcomm. His remarks highlighted intellectual property as a practical system that keeps innovation investable, while underscoring the importance of capacity-building initiatives such as TIPA and L2Pro, expanded access to invention, stronger patent literacy, and pathways for global commercialization across innovation ecosystems.
The session brought together participants through livestreaming and watch parties across the US (California, Georgia, Texas), and Bogotá, Colombia. Special thanks to Mauricio Uribe (GLIPA & USIPA Board Member), Maria Fernanda Hurtado (GLIPA’s Executive Director), and Sanchita Barman of GreyB’s technical support team for their contributions and leadership in making this initiative possible.
Partner’s Spotlight - AMPPI
This month, GLIPA is proud to highlight the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI), an association of professionals dedicated to Intellectual Property, with whom we signed a memorandum of Understanding last year.
Since its founding in 1963 as the Mexican chapter of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), its commitment to disseminating knowledge in this field, as well as its involvement in the development and establishment of the Intellectual Property system in Mexico, has positioned it as one of the most prominent professional associations in this area. Its inclusive, multidisciplinary philosophy and openness to collaboration among its members fosters its significant participation in major intellectual property decisions within the country's legislative system since its inception.
